NIH in collaboration with EMPHNET organized a Training of Trainers (ToT) course regarding "Risk Communication"

The “Training of Trainers (ToT) on Risk Communication” for Public Health professionals concluded at Islamabad. The Training organized by the National Institute of Health (NIH) in collaboration with Global Health Development (GHD)/ Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET) Jordan, from 25-29 March, 2019. The main purpose of this course was to build the skills and competencies of public health professionals to effectively communicate risk during public health emergencies.The participants from all provinces, AJK, GB and different departments like Public Health, Federal General Hospital, Poly Clinic, Health Services Academy, Rescue 1122, Disaster Management, ICT, PHRC, and others attended the training course.Speaking on the occasion, Executive Director (ED) of NIH, Brig.Prof.Aamer Ikram said Risk Communication is a core public health intervention in any disease outbreak and health emergency.
