Pakistan is a signatory of International Health Regulations (IHR) 2005 which is
international treaty to protect, control and response to public health emergencies.
The National Institute of Health (NIH), Islamabad is the focal point of IHR. In this
regards the Training of Airport/Point of Entries (POE) Health Staff on Vector and
Rodent Control was organized at NIH on 18 October 2018.
More than 40 health officials from Islamabad International Airport, Civil dispensaries
and NIH participated in the training course. The aim of this training was to enhance
the capacity of technical staff for rodent and vector control at Point of entries.
