Infectious Substances Shipper Training (ISST)
About this event:
The WHO is working at the global, regional and country levels to strengthen the surveillance and laboratory capacity of countries to address priority diseases including zoonosis and build synergies between human and animal health system. In this context, WHO in coordination with the EMRO and Department of Country Health Emergency Preparedness & IHR was organized the Infectious Substances Shipper Training (ISST) workshops, which was implemented by the National Institute of Health. These workshops aim to train certified shippers to ship category A infectious substances (including Ebola virus diseases, other viruses causing hemorrhagic fevers and influenza) and dangerous goods in accordance with the latest WHO and international guidelines on Biosafety & Bio-security.
