The Finance department deals with the monetary aspects. The earning, saving, borrowing, spending and investing of funds are the parts of financial management, which are essential for the smooth operation of an organization. Maintenance of proper record is also the responsibility of this department, which is to be submitted to the Auditor General of Pakistan to determine legality and correctness and to ensure that all financial programs are in conformity with the requirements of Auditor General of Pakistan. Director Finance is head of the
division who is assisted by Deputy Director Finance, Accounts Officers and other
supporting staff. Functions 1. Preparation of Budget and Revised Estimate. 2. Arrangement of Finance from Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance and Accountant General Pakistan Revenue (A.G.P.R.), Islamabad. 3. Disbursement, vetting and Pre-audit of all claims. 4. Maintenance of Accounts. 5. Preparation of Pension Pay order of retired employees. 6. Arrangement of Audit from the Auditor General of Pakistan. 7. Issuance of funds availability certificates. 8. Preparation of Contingent Bills, General Provident (G.P.) Fund bills, (Travelling Allowance / Daily Allowance (TA/DA) bills, Overtime claims and Pay of all employees of NIH, including daily wages workers. 9. Compilation of Performa Accounts in respect of Biological Production Division, NIH. Organization
